Katelyn & Ryan | Port Stephens

Katelyn & Ryan, the most romantic couple.

The wedding was held at Port Stephens Aquatic and Sailing Club, about 2hours drive from Sydney. The wedding simple but sweet! We managed to capture the pure emotions from this couple. And the elements from nature really added the beauty into this film, the sounds from the sea and the blowing of the wind. 

What can I say! Everything that had happened in that time was perfectly embedded, it was like god wanted this day to be perfect! That day was cloudy, and thunderstorms was approaching the beach. But it actually held on alright, all the way to when we were done finishing up our location photo session, overall the day went very smooth. 

 So, I arrived at the ceremony earlier than scheduled, and I took out all my gears and startedsetting up. 10 minutes later all the guest started arriving to the ceremony, welcoming each other and passionately waiting for the ceremony to begin. A few more minutes later, Ryan arrived and as soon as he was shaking hands and hugging with everyone, all his best and beloved friends that have come all their way here. Came rushing to him and with full of joy and excitement celebrating their love between them. Then I quickly approached him to start putting my audio recorder in his pocket so then later I can get his clear sounds of his vows.  

 The ceremony began with soft romantic music and when Katelyn was slowly walking down the aisle, I saw Ryan’s eyes full of emotions. She was so beautiful with her dress and I saw her that she could not stop her show of happiness and joy of emotions as she was walking towards Ryan. It was a wedding they had always wanted, a ceremony on the beach listening to the sound of the sea waves and feeling the wind and sea breeze. It was just who they were and wanted exactly, and very natural and candid. 

I love candid photography, it’s just who I am, and I love when everything comes together sonatural and I’m able to capture those candid moments with happiness and joy. Later during the ceremony, the wind suddenly picks up, but nevertheless it will not stop the ceremony vibe to continue! 

The reception held on the top of the sailing club, it was not too big or too small the place. And when I got up there, it was packed with guests, there was so many of beer cans on the floor, it was a very local wedding and it has the local vibe.
