Lina & Grant
Oh the sheer joys of Lina and Grant!
In every way, this tiny wedding, punched high above its weight, in coolness, quirkiness and total rock-star attitude .From start to finish, this was a if-it-doesn’t-matter-we’re-not-doing-it affair, which meant that everything mattered.
Lina rocked bright coral orange and a new short , semi-shaved haircut. Yay - a bride that wasn’t in white - just this once! She gave our friend, Robyn, the celebrant, the challenge of texting her the one word she would know as a sign, to make her way down from Park Hyatt, to meet Grant.
Poor Robyn was terrified she wouldn’t get it right. She did - and Lina owned her walk - alone - like the most laidback bride ever. With only 16 guests, this Hickson Road wedding was intimate and funny and geeky-personal. Everyone was invested and dressed to the nines.
We watched them all laugh and cry and interrupt here and there, and wished that all wedding guests were so involved. We only spent a few hours with Lina and Grant. A few portraits. Some pre-wedding getting ready shots.
The ceremony. A small lunch reception, back at Park Hyatt. It was enough for us to know that we’ll never be as cool as them - and that it doesn't matter. They’re simply too much fun to care.
